ClearFileBack to cleaner

Terms of use.

Last updated August 23, 2026. These terms define the authorized, privacy-focused use of ClearFile.

ClearFile cleans common provenance metadata and invisible text marks. It is not a tool for removing visible creator watermarks, bypassing DRM or hiding infringement.

Authorized use only

You may use the tools only on files you own or have permission to modify. You remain responsible for the source file, the result and any publication or redistribution.

Prohibited use

Do not use ClearFile to infringe copyright or trademarks, misrepresent authorship, evade platform disclosure requirements, bypass access controls or digital rights management, remove visible ownership notices, create fraudulent material or process unlawful content.

Results and technical limits

The browser re-export may remove common EXIF, XMP and provenance metadata, but it cannot guarantee detection or removal of every proprietary or statistical watermark. Text cleaning targets a defined set of invisible Unicode characters. Results may change quality, color profiles or useful metadata.

Keep the original

Always retain an original copy and inspect the downloaded result. ClearFile is provided without a guarantee of fitness, completeness or uninterrupted availability.

Service changes

The free service may limit file size, formats or frequency. Features may be changed or removed for security, legal compliance, quality or maintenance.
